Terms and Conditions

LessonHead LLC
Effective Date: 2 April 2026


1. Introduction

Welcome to LessonHead LLC (“LessonHead”, “we”, “our”, “us”). LessonHead is an online marketplace that connects students with independent teachers for educational services.

By accessing or using https://lessonhead.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.


2. Platform Role

LessonHead acts solely as an intermediary platform between students and teachers.

We do not provide educational services directly and are not responsible for:

  • The quality of lessons
  • Learning outcomes
  • Teacher or student performance
  • Any disputes between users

Teachers are independent contractors and not employees of LessonHead.


3. User Accounts

Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

Users may delete their accounts at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion in case of:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Abuse of the platform
  • Any harmful behavior toward other users or the platform


4. Eligibility

Users under the age of 18 may only use the platform under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Teachers must be at least 18 years old to provide services on the platform.


5. Lessons and Responsibilities

Teachers and students are responsible for ensuring:

  • Stable internet connection
  • Proper devices and equipment
  • Suitable environment for online learning

LessonHead is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues on either side
  • Internet interruptions
  • Device failures


6. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe.

LessonHead charges a 15% commission per lesson, which may be updated with reasonable notice.

Teachers receive payouts after:

  • Student confirmation of completion, or
  • 5 days after lesson completion

LessonHead is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors.


7. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled as follows:

  • More than 24 hours before lesson: Full refund
  • 12–24 hours before lesson: 50% refund
  • Less than 12 hours before lesson: No refund
  • Teacher cancellation: Full refund or rescheduling option
  • Technical issues: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis

LessonHead reserves the right to make final refund decisions.


8. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Use fake or misleading accounts
  • Share illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to bypass platform systems or payments
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Violation may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination.


9. Off-Platform Transactions

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Making payments outside LessonHead
  • Arranging lessons outside the platform
  • Bypassing platform systems in any form

LessonHead is not responsible for any disputes or losses arising from off-platform transactions.


10. Content and Recordings

LessonHead may record lessons for:

  • Quality assurance
  • Dispute resolution
  • Safety and compliance monitoring
  • Service improvement

Recordings:

  • May be stored for up to 30 days or longer if legally required
  • Are securely stored
  • Are owned by LessonHead LLC

Users agree to such recordings by using the platform.


11. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, and systems are owned by LessonHead LLC.

Users may not copy, reproduce, or misuse platform materials without permission.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonHead is not liable for:

  • Learning outcomes
  • User behavior
  • Disputes between users
  • Losses resulting from use of the platform
  • Technical failures outside our control


13. Disclaimer

LessonHead only provides a marketplace connecting students and teachers.

We do not guarantee:

  • Educational results
  • Teacher performance
  • Availability of services


14. Global Use

LessonHead operates globally.

Users are responsible for complying with local laws in their jurisdiction.


15. Account Suspension and Termination

LessonHead may suspend or terminate accounts:

  • With or without notice
  • For violations of these Terms
  • To protect platform integrity and users


16. Dispute Resolution

Users should first contact support to resolve disputes.

If unresolved, disputes will be governed under Section 17.


17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States.


18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
