Refund Policy

LessonHead LLC

1. Introduction

At LessonHead LLC (“LessonHead”, “we”, “our”, “us”), we aim to provide a reliable and high-quality tutoring marketplace connecting students with independent teachers.

This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may be granted for lessons and services purchased through the platform.

By using LessonHead, you agree to this Refund Policy.



2. Lesson Cancellation Policy

Students may cancel or reschedule lessons under the following conditions:

  • More than 24 hours before the lesson: No penalty
  • Less than 24 hours before the lesson: May not be eligible for refund

All cancellations must be processed through the LessonHead platform.



3. Refund Eligibility


3.1 Full Refund

A full refund may be granted in the following cases:

  • Lesson cancelled more than 24 hours in advance
  • Lesson cannot be delivered due to platform failure
  • No suitable teacher replacement is available (if applicable)
  • Teacher cancels the lesson


3.2 Partial Refund

A partial refund (up to 50%) may be granted if:

  • The lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours but before the scheduled start time (case-by-case)
  • Technical issues affect only part of the lesson
  • Lesson quality issues are confirmed after review


3.3 No Refund

No refund will be issued in the following cases:

  • Student does not attend the scheduled lesson
  • Cancellation less than 12 hours before the lesson
  • Completed lessons
  • Failure to join due to student-side technical issues (internet/device problems)


4. Teacher Cancellations

If a teacher cancels a lesson:

  • The student will receive a full refund or
  • The lesson may be rescheduled at no additional cost

LessonHead may also apply penalties to the teacher account.



5. Technical Issues

If technical issues occur:

  • On LessonHead systems → refund or reschedule will be provided
  • On student side → no refund
  • On teacher side → case reviewed individually

LessonHead will determine responsibility before issuing any refund.



6. Package Purchases

For multi-lesson packages:

  • Refunds are based on unused lessons only
  • Completed lessons are non-refundable
  • A 10% administrative fee may apply to package refunds


7. Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within:

  • 5–7 business days

However, actual time may vary depending on:

  • Payment provider
  • Bank processing times
  • Card issuer policies

LessonHead is not responsible for external processing delays.



8. Chargebacks

Users agree not to initiate chargebacks without first contacting LessonHead support.

Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:

  • Account suspension
  • Loss of access to platform services
  • Legal or payment provider action


9. Fraud Prevention

LessonHead reserves the right to:

  • Reject refund requests suspected of fraud or abuse
  • Investigate refund claims
  • Require supporting evidence before approval


10. Dispute Resolution

Refund disputes should first be submitted to LessonHead support.

If unresolved, LessonHead will make the final decision based on platform data and evidence.



11. Policy Updates

LessonHead may update this Refund Policy at any time.

Continued use of the platform means acceptance of any updates.
